Meet the Artists
Sarah and Brenda are Pacific Northwest artists who met at work in the fashion industry. When they discovered their shared devotion to nature, the Messengers From oracle deck project was born.
Both are honoured to share animal wisdom with their kids and over 200+ Messengers From oracle deck readers.
Sarah Hammond, Illustrations
Sarah’s muse is the natural world. She completed field studies of nearly all the animals illustrated in the oracle deck during a residency in the Great Bear Rainforest.
Brenda Holmes, Words
Brenda channelled the guidebook words after beginning her Shamanism and Animism studies. She trusts that connections to the land connect us back to our true selves.
This deck was channeled and created on the territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We give them our thanks for stewarding these lands since time immemorial. \o/
